It’s a tough job…but somebody has to do it!

A few posts ago I mentioned my upcoming travels – well, now I’m home and playing catch-up!  I just wanted to post a quick blog recapping my time.  I’ll have many more to share as both my trips were incredibly fantastic experiences and I learned a lot!

In late February, my family and I headed to Orlando for a day at SeaWorld, then Legoland Florida, and ended it with several days at Disney’s Vero Beach Resort.

Then 9 days after we returned, I was off again for a work conference.  Three fellow Mouse World Travel Agents and I visited Walt Disney World, Universal Studios Orlando, the re-imagined Disney Magic (Disney Cruise Line), along with touring Sandals Royal Bahamian (Nassau) and Atlantis Paradise Island, Bahamas – all in 5 days!  WHEW!  A very fun and educational trip, but exhausting!

Atlantis, Paradise Island

Atlantis on Paradise Island, Bahamas is a stunning property! No wonder I have so many clients itching to get back as soon as they can!

I am excited to say I am now a Universal Orlando Authorized Travel Professional!  I have sent clients here in the past, as doing a split between Disney and Universal makes for an extra fantastic vacation, but by passing their exam and touring the property myself I officially have the designation!

I have continued with my Disney, SeaWorld and Legoland educations as well, passing each of their courses and earning their designations for agents.

After seeing the properties I am excited to next tackle my Atlantis and Sandals/Beaches courses to become certified for these destinations.  Being certified means I have a deeper knowledge of the destination and can better serve my clients.  I already book these properties, but I always feel best earning the certifications, knowing I am sending my client off on a wonderful vacation!

I am blessed to have visited so many wonderful places in such a short time.  I really do have the best job ever.  I cannot wait to visit again!  Until then I’ll live vicariously through my clients. 🙂
